Distribution

Tissue distribution: Spleen, macrophages, and bone marrow-derived neutrophils.
Cellular distribution: Nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, and secreted.

Function
Chil3 plays a role in hydrolysis of terminal non-reducing N-acetyl-D-hexosamine residues in N-acetyl-beta-D-hexosaminides.
Interaction
Chil3 binds to chitin, lectin, and heparin.
