Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 1.0 - 5.0 ?g per ml. For ELISA Capture applications, a concentration range of 0.002 - 0.02 ?g/mL is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

- Function
- BACE1 is involved in proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). It cleaves APP at the N-terminus of the amyloid β peptide sequence, between residues 671 and 672 of APP.
