ELISA Capture - Quality tested

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For use as an ELISA capture antibody, a concentration range of 1-4 ?g/ml is recommended. To obtain a linear standard curve, serial dilutions of human IL-32 recombinant protein ranging from 500 to 7.8 pg/ml are recommended for each ELISA plate. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

ELISA Capture¹: The purified KU32-07 antibody is useful as the capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA assay, when used in conjunction with the biotinylated KU32-52 antibody (Cat. No. 513503) as the detecting antibody.

Note: For testing human IL-32a in serum, plasma or supernatant, BioLegend's ELISA Max? Sets (Cat. No. 433504 & 433505) are specially developed and recommended.

Antigen Details

Structure: IL-32 contains a tyrosine sulfation site, 3 potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites, and an RGD cell-attachment sequence.
Distribution: Expression increased after activation of T-cells by mitogens or activation of NK cells by IL-2.
Function: IL-32 is a proinflammatory cytokine associated with viral and bacterial infections. IL-32 is involved in autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn disease. IL-32 induces the production of TNF-a from macrophage cells.
Interaction: Monocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, T cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, osteoclasts, adipocytes, astroglia, microglia.
