ELISA Capture - Quality tested

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For ELISA capture applications, a concentration range of 2-8 ?g/ml is recommended. To obtain a linear standard curve, serial dilutions of C5a recombinant protein ranging from 15.6 to 1000 pg/ml are recommended for each ELISA plate. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
The C17/5 antibody reacts with human C5a and C5a(desArg). C17/5 is specific for a C5 activation-dependent neo-epitope expressed only on C5a and C5a(desArg) but not C5, and has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of C5a.4
ELISA Capture: The purified C17/5 antibody is useful as the capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA assay, when used in conjunction with the biotinylated G25/2 antibody (Cat. No. 518306) as the detection antibody.
