- Recommended Usage
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.5 ?g per 106 cells in 100 ?L?volume or 100 ?L?of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

- Structure
- Member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family. Cell surface tyrosine kinase containing three immunoglobulin-like domains. Predicted molecular weight approximately 88 kD.
- Distribution
-
Widely expressed in many tissues including the intestine, muscle, heart, cornea, retina, and pancreas; highest expression in lung and kidney
- Function
- Ligand binding induces mitogenesis and differentiation; over-expressed in gynecological tumors suggesting a possible role for this receptor in breast and ovarian tumorigenesis. Unique alleles (Arg388) in FGFR4 have been associated with cancer progression
- Interaction
- STAT1, STAT3
- Ligand/Receptor
- Binds acidic fibroblast growth factors (FGF8, GFG1, FGF19, FGF6, and FGF2)
