| 产品介绍 | C13orf24 is also known as Progesterone-induced-blocking factor 1 (PIBF1). PIBF1 is synthesized by lymphocytes of healthy pregnant women in the presence of progesterone and inhibits arachidonic acid release, by acting on the phospholipase A2 enzyme, inducing a Th2 biased immune response. It also controls NK activity, and modifies the cytokine balance exerting an anti-abortive effect. Function: Mediator of progesterone that by acting on the phospholipase A2 enzyme interferes with arachidonic acid metabolism, induces a Th2 biased immune response, and by controlling NK activity exerts an anti-abortive effect. Tissue Specificity: Expressed at highest levels in testis. Moderate expression is detected in spleen, thymus, prostate, ovary, small intestine, and colon. |
